As the appetite for mobile dining experiences grows, we've seen interesting trends in the top dining and restaurant applications on the iOS platform in the US during the second quarter of 2024. Sensor Tower provides a closer look at how these apps have performed in terms of downloads and weekly active users.
Starting with McDonald’s - Non-US, the app's downloads saw a significant increase, starting from approximately 6K in the first week of April and peaking at nearly 19K in the first week of June. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, beginning at around 118K and reaching upwards of 182K by the end of June.
KFC Nederland also experienced a growth in downloads, with numbers rising from 3K to over 3K towards the end of June. The weekly active users showed a steady increase from 12K to nearly 14K in the same period.
Domino's Pizza Nederland saw its downloads fluctuate, with a peak of over 3K in early June, while its weekly active users gradually decreased from 16K to around 12K by the quarter's end.
For Burger King Nederland, downloads remained relatively stable, ranging from 2K to 2K. The app's weekly active users hovered around 61K, showing slight variations throughout the quarter.
Lastly, TheFork - Restaurant bookings had the least downloads, starting at under 1K and experiencing a spike to nearly 2K in mid-June. The app's active users began at 5K and saw a rise, reaching 6K in the same spike period.
